We’re so excited to bring you our most powerful release yet: Automated Flows.

This game-changing feature is designed to solve a daily challenge every salon and spa faces: how to create a personalized experience for every client from the moment they book their first appointment until they become a loyal repeat client who goes on to refer their friends.

Unfortunately, a lot of salon and spa marketing today is unremarkable, generic, and ineffective. Emails often end up getting stuck in spam filters or are simply not opened, while SMS “blasts” lead to clients getting annoyed or leaving messages unread.

The reason for that is usually not that salon and spa owners are unaware of what a great experience would look like — it’s because the tools that exist today make it difficult to do it well once a business gets bigger and has thousands of clients.

Automated Flows changes that. You can easily set up powerful flows that run on auto-pilot and make every client feel special by sending them highly relevant messages, at the right time.

Why existing solutions aren’t good enough

The reality is that many third-party marketing tools like Constant Contact and Mailchimp are too simple for what you need, just blasting out generic messages to large audiences who often don’t care or even remember why they are receiving your message in the first place.

Others are way too complex. Tools like Klaviyo and HubSpot might seem nice at first. In practice they’re difficult to set up, tricky to integrate with booking systems like Mangomint, and just not designed for the unique needs of the beauty and wellness industry.

Automated Flows is built specifically for salons and spas and lets you deliver personalized communication the way you always imagined it. Do it all directly in Mangomint, no need for any third-party tools or complicated setups.

It’s also much more powerful and versatile than “automated campaigns” you may encounter in other booking software (if they even offer this at all). Their automations are usually too basic and hard to truly customize to your specific business.

Automated Flows is different. It uses a smarter approach that’s highly flexible and informed by client data inside your Mangomint account.

Use client data to power your message sequences

Over time, your business will naturally collect a wealth of data about your clients. This includes information about past and upcoming appointments, products purchased, booking preferences, memberships and packages, gift cards, and more.

Up until now, most of this data was effectively siloed and unusable for day-to-day salon and spa marketing. With Automated Flows, you now have the ability to make all this rich client data available to create highly personalized sequences of steps that your clients will “flow” through.

Here are the basic building blocks of a flow:

  • Triggers - These are events that occur inside Mangomint and can make a client enter a flow. Examples: Appointment Completed, Sale Closed, Membership Started, Birthday, etc.

  • Actions - Actions are specific types of steps that “do something”. This could be a text message or an email, but it could also be a time delay to wait a certain amount of hours, days, or weeks.

  • Conditions - These allow you to control the path of a flow. For example, after waiting 3 weeks, you could check if a client has a future appointment and take a different path depending on that.

Using these building blocks, it is possible to create incredibly powerful and personalized communication that’s truly “set it and forget it”.

Easily set goals and track performance

Each flow includes the option to set custom goals, allowing you to track how many clients achieve specific outcomes such as booking an appointment, starting a membership, or purchasing a gift card.

This is an effective way to monitor the performance of your flows and improve them over time. You also have the ability to review individual flow runs, giving you insight into each client that enters a flow.

Pricing and how to get started

Flows uses a flexible credits-based system that allows you to pay only for messages sent. Each message consumes a number of marketing credits that is visible when you create the message and depends on factors like the length of an SMS.

As before, you can purchase marketing credits in bulk upfront, or you can set up auto-refill so you don’t have to manually do this every time your balance runs low.

Additionally, we will soon release the option to add a fixed amount of credits directly to your Mangomint subscription. This will greatly reduce the cost per credit and will be a cost-efficient way to take advantage of the always-on nature of Automated Flows.
