New in Mangomint | July 2021
Route payments to staff members directly, new check-in customizations, reports, advanced checkout options, and more.
In case we don't say it enough, cutting costs and saving you time are at the core of everything we do. Here’s our latest improvements to Mangomint’s features to do exactly that:
Route payments to renters directly
More customizations for client self check-in
Change calculator for cash payments
New report: cashflow
Advanced options for checkout
Route payments to renters directly
Cut out a step in the process by allowing chair or room renters to handle their own transactions and automatically route payments to their own bank account.
Admins can create payment accounts and add their staff (Learn more here). Then staff members can sign up themselves using their login. They'll be able to see their own payment accounts, current balance, as well as payouts and transactions.
More customizations for client self check-in
Client self check-in, launched last year as part of our COVID features, remains a popular feature among our customers. We've added new customizations to keep the check-in process flexible and enjoyable for all salons and spas.
Our client self check-in feature lets you streamline the steps for checking in clients for their appointment.
The system automatically sends an email and text message to the client with a link to check-in 15 minutes prior to their appointment time. Staff can trigger a notification to let the client know that the service provider is ready for them.
Now, you can enable or disable the part of the message asking clients to ‘wait outside’ until staff is ready. This is ideal for salons and spas with busy waiting rooms, changing capacity limits and social distancing protocols, or reduced front desk staff available to check-in clients.
Change calculator for cash payments
If you hate math, this feature is for you. When enabled, the Change Calculator gives you the option to calculate how much change you have to return to a client when they pay with cash.
When you click the “Cash” payment button, it shows the amount due and a calculator where you can enter the ‘Amount received’. The calculator will then output the amount of ‘Change due.’
New report: Cashflow
Get a snapshot of the financial health of your salon and spa. The cashflow report shows you all the cash-equivalent money collected in a selected time period. This report makes it easy to track cash flowing in and out of your business.
Incoming Cashflow is a sum of all payments using 'cash-equivalents' payment methods. Staff Tips is the daily sum of staff tips (same as what can be found on the payroll report). Net Cashflow is simply Incoming Cashflow minus Staff Tips and minus Sales Tax.
Advanced options for checkout
In addition, we've also added a number of new options to customize the checkout process.
Tip options: Enable or disable asking clients for tips during self checkout or front desk checkout. Also, you can decide if you want to ask for a tip on both product and service sales or just for service sales.
Signature options: Enable or disable asking clients for a signature during front desk checkout.
Receipt details: Specify whether the service provider's name should be displayed on the receipt and add a fine print, which will be displayed at the bottom of the receipt.
We hope you find all the new additions to our platform valuable. If you have any thoughts, questions, or feedback, we'd love to hear from you!
