Can I view a client’s account balance history?

To view a client’s account balance history, open the client details and select the Wallet tab.

Select View history to view the account balance history.

You can also view details about a client’s account balance history in the Client Account Balances reports.

Are account balances visible to clients? Can clients use their account balance to pay in online booking?

Client account balances are only visible internally to staff members. Clients cannot use their account balance to pay during online booking, Express Booking™, or Client Self Checkout.

Client account balances are not location-specific—they can be used across all your locations.

Can I use client account balances for IOUs so clients can pay later?

To allow a client to pay later, you can charge their account balance to create a negative account balance. The next time the client begins a checkout, you will be able to see that they have a negative account balance they need to pay. You can also view details about a client’s account balance in the Wallet tab of the client details and in the Client Account Balances reports.

How do I refund an account balance deposit?

To refund an account balance deposit, you will need to refund the payment to the client and then manually decrease the account balance.

To refund the payment to the client, locate the closed sale where the account balance deposit was completed.

  • For account balance deposits purchased with a credit card, you will need to complete a refund.

  • For account balance deposits purchased with cash or any other payment method, you will need to reverse the payment and then refund the client.

After refunding the payment to the client, manually decrease their account balance to reflect the refunded amount.

What happens if I disable client account balances?

If you disable client account balances in the Settings app and re-enable it later, all client account balances will be restored to the same balance the client had when the feature was disabled.

The Client Account Balances reports are available to help you view details such as balance usage, current balances, and more.
