How do I enable/disable taxes on products?

If you enable/disable taxes on products, the tax rate is pulled from the rate set in Apps > Settings > Business Setup > Locations.

To enable/disable tax on a product, open the Products app and select the product. Select the pencil icon.

Enable or disable the Charge tax toggle and select Save Changes.

How do I hide backbar/professional-use items during checkout?

When creating or editing a product category, the Non-retail products toggle allows you to easily track your backbar/professional-use items. If this toggle is enabled, the products in this category will not be available during checkout, unless the staff member has the Can sell non-retail products permission enabled in Staff Member settings.
